Fake Pregnancy to Tell a Story

Teen Pregnancy Faked to tell a Story

Gaby Rodriguez of Toppenish, Wash. earned international headlines last April when she announced at a high school assembly that she had worn a faux baby bump for months to explore stereotypes about teen pregnancy.

Only a handful of people, including her mother, boyfriend and principal, were in on the secret. The rest of the Toppenish community, where buildings are adorned with Western-themed murals in central Washington’s agricultural Yakima Valley, had no clue.

"Acupuncture Helps Women Get Pregnant"

by Bellysonic

acupunctureHaving trouble getting pregnant? Tired of trying drugs and therapy and IVF? You’re not alone!

Turning your back on modern medicine might be the answer. Acupuncture is centuries old (modern medicine about 100!) and has applications for almost anything that is health related.

Tampa Bay’s 10News website carried a recent article on this saying, “It’s estimated that 10 percent of all women are unable to become pregnant after trying for a year. It’s a problem of special interest to the growing number of women who have waited until their late 30s and early 40s to have children.”

They go on to say because there have been some well publicized celebrity cases of using acupuncture, more women are willing to try.

Of course, the modern medical community strikes back saying there haven’t been any comprehensive tests to prove that acupuncture really aids in infertility cases. They recommend things like IVF instead at $14,000 a pop. Wonder why?

The whole article is worth the read.
